## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this require a catalyst or is it ready to use? Whats the shelf life when properly stored?**
A: Shelf life is conditional based on temperature. There is no catalyst required. This resin is activated by putting piece in a vacuum pot withe this resin. Then let sit after the vacuum is released giving the material a chance to adsorb the fluid. Then take material with the resin inside it and place in an oven at 225-250 degrees till the whole piece is brought up to that temperature. Then the piece is stabilized. Resin Hardened in the material.

**Q: What's the shelf life when stored at room temperature? Does this last longer than the 6 months the competition has?**
A: As long as it is not stored above 80 F or so or a comfortable room temperature, it will last up to 12 months. If it does not last 12 months from shipping date, we will stand behind our product and assist you in recovering the resin or replace the remaining portion if it can not be recovered.

**Q: How long does it need to be in the oven to harden properly?**
A: Until it’s done. This depends on the size and type of wood. Wood is a natural insulator, common on cookware to protect the cook from heat. It takes a while to get the heat all the way through the block. Anywhere from a couple hours to a full day or so. With so many variables, it simply isn’t possible to give a simple straight forward answer.

**Q: can you mix with cactus juice stabilizing resin?**
A: According to the seller you can mix the stabilizing resins; however they seem to have different issues with applying the finish. I have not and will not mix the two. If you really want more information contact the seller. I have found him to be a fountain of information and is very helpful.
