After installing without using any sealer, there is a leak at the bottom. I have seen other reviews of this product from a different manufacturer that has the same issue. While it looks like the tube is one piece, it is actually two pieces that are screwed together. The joining place is right below the threaded part. I am wondering if this is where the very small leaking is occurring. I have used plumbers putty and thread tape to try to stop the leak but so far I have not succeeded. I am going to put pipe thread sealer on the threads where the twp pieces join and see if this works. I will edit this review if I succeed.Update!. There is a leak where the two tubes join. Maybe this is a defect. Ph is sending me some replacements and I will see if the newer ones are better. As it turns out, I put pipe thread sealer on the tube htreads, screwed them together and that leak seems fixed. I also put pipe thread sealer on the upper threads and it seems to be holding with no leaks.If you put a gasket under the top flange, water will not dreain completely. So, I took out the gasket and put plumber putty around the top flange and since the putty squeezes out thinner, the water drains better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to install *by M***. on June 29, 2019* I've installed quite a few sink drains and faucets over the years, but this one was incredibly easy. I ended up using plumbers putty under the flange instead of the supplied gasket; the gasket was too thick for my sink and caused some standing water to be left behind after running the faucet. I would also recommend using pipe thread sealant on the threads where the two tubes join, as I had a small amount of water leakage in this area. Using sealant stopped it completely. The pop-up stopper works very well and I did not have any issues with water leaking past it. I'm giving the drain 4 stars because the stopper basket seems to restrict the flow of water down the drain slightly. However, the stopper can simply be pulled out if this becomes an annoyance. All in all, I found this to be a very good product and I would certainly buy it again for future drain installations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality and matches perfectly with my oil-rubbed bronze faucet *by H***L on July 14, 2019* Looks great.
