A: No, these signs were meant specifically for "portrait" orientation.

**Q: Can this also stand on its side in landscape position?**
A: Yes it can, and it was probably designed to do so as it leans back slightly at about the same angle as when it is standing in portrait mode.

**Q: Would scanning a paper with a QR code on this work, or is it too shiny?**
A: It's not to shinny, I bought some just for that and it works great! No problems with It at all.

**Q: Is the surface shiny or matte?  I would like to avoid glare or reflections in bright directional light.**
A: The surface is shiny.

Only 1/10 was cracked which is disappointing but for the price it’s a great way to display photos in a light weight clean way. Photos are easily changed out, though I worry about how long lasting they are, we will see Update : the company saw this review and made the effort to make it right, I respect that a lot, so many faceless companies on Amazon that would not do the same
