I always take mine off and put them back on in the morning. You may get a better answer from the makers. **Q: I am size 6 with wide feet. They do not stretch a lot and fit tightly. **Q: What shoe size is a medium** A: I am a 40 or a 7 and medium fits perfectly. I would say 42 or larger requires a large and 36 or smaller requires a small. And by the way, they really do support your feet.
