Well, yes, because it used to lock into place via friction. I have decided to keep the last shipment even though the tires slide right off but now I am forced to glue it. Problem? Well, now you have to purchase and use a CA glue like Super Glue which is problematic in safe handling as well as having kids around this product. Even if glue does the job of securing, the tires roll more wobbly because the large opening prevents the axle to set at 90° to the tire.
