These locks are great. The only issue is the numbers are the color as the dials. The would be better if they were black **Q: Do you make these locks with longer shanks?** A: You would have to contact the distributor. The shank is one inch long when locked. It fits Nanak cases perfectly o part of the shank is exposed A longer shank can lead to easy cutting. **Q: Will this work on the Pelican Vault V100 case?** A: The Pelican Vault V100 requires a 1 inch shank or longer. This lock only has 11/16in vertical clearance and therefore will not fit. Cedar Creek makes a similar lock that has a long enough shank to fit the Pelican Vault series. **Q: My pelican case's locking area is 7/8" long, will this lock be long enough to close? this is the vault v730.** A: Hard to be sure. If there is a conical indentation at the top of lock mount, the Nanuk lock shaft fits up to almost 1" span. That's fine for my Pelikan 1510 case, but I can't tell tell from the photos on the manfacturer's website if the lock bracket is similar. It can be finicky to close unless you point the lock body straight out. If no indentation, it would not fit.
