## Description

This is the most flexible TOSLINK to Coaxial + TOSLINK or Coaxial to TOSLINK + Coaxial converter on the market. VHD-2WDA is a Bi-Directional Coaxial  TOSLINK audio converter, compact and convenient. It supports S/PDIF with either optical or coaxial audio signal input through TOSLINK or coaxial cable, and passes or converts the signal (as is) to both its coaxial and Optical output ports. It has an input selection switch to select either TOSLINK or COAX input. The selection input audio signal will then be available from both the COAX and TOSLINK outputs at the same time. Review: Very good option for what I needed - I purchased this converter to allow a Sceptre TV with only SPDIF Coaxial audio output to work with a Samsung soundbar with only optical input. Over the last couple months it has worked well. It was fairly simple to setup, you just set a selector switch, attach the cables and attach the power. I am not sure the switch settings printed on the device are the clearest, but the instructions describe both options in detail. The package includes a power adapter, but the device also has a mini-USB port that can be used for power. I have been able to use a standard mini-USB cable to power this from the USB port on my TV. This is great since it means I don't have to use an extra electrical outlet on a power strip. A very useful device if you have this specific need. There are other inexpensive options, but the quality of this one seems better and with the option to convert either direction it seems more versatile. The USB port is also a huge benefit for me.

I purchased this converter to allow a Sceptre TV with only SPDIF Coaxial audio output to work with a Samsung soundbar with only optical input. Over the last couple months it has worked well. It was fairly simple to setup, you just set a selector switch, attach the cables and attach the power. I am not sure the switch settings printed on the device are the clearest, but the instructions describe both options in detail. The package includes a power adapter, but the device also has a mini-USB port that can be used for power. I have been able to use a standard mini-USB cable to power this from the USB port on my TV. This is great since it means I don't have to use an extra electrical outlet on a power strip. A very useful device if you have this specific need. There are other inexpensive options, but the quality of this one seems better and with the option to convert either direction it seems more versatile. The USB port is also a huge benefit for me.

I bought this so that I could get sound from a headphone jack to a receiver that only has optical inputs. The LED lights up, I have the switch set to the appropriate input. I can see that the optical output is on, but no audio.
