I had to cut a 7/8 and 2 1/2 in hole in quater inch steal. I used a drill press to make the holes. It took a bit of effort to cut the larger hole, but I accomplished what was needed. I had too replace the 2 1/2 hole saw, but was worth it being able to finish my project. This set is bi-metal set and if using it more for wood projects, I believe the hole saw would last much longer then used on steal. The canvas case is a plus. Having a case to keep everything together makes it easy to store and available for the next project. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Went dull after being used 2 times *by M***D on Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2019* So far I used the 2.5 inch saw and it seems pretty worn down for 2 desktop holes I drilled. There was some metal sandwhiched between wood but not very thick metal.
