It's delicious and versatile.This Chili tastes like regular Hormel Chili, mildly hot. Then again, I'm from Texas. If you're a Yankee, you might consider it medium hot. Most people wouldn't consider it fiery hot.What makes this chili better than most other canned chili is that it is chunky. It does contain small 1/2"x1/2" and smaller bits of beef in what appears to be Hormel regular chili. There are a lot of beans, not something usually found in Texas chili, but they are well cooked and tasty. It may be just a bit too salty, but the flavors are well balanced and the chili has a nice mouth feel.While best served in a bowl topped with shredded cheese and chopped onions and a side of corn bread, I also like it as a topper for tamales or enchiladas. If you want a real treat, serve it over a big handful of Frito's brand corn chips-- the classic Frito Pie. This is real kid friendly food and it's fast and easy to fix. Everyone I know likes it.
