**Q: what is the cord diameter?**
A: I really don’t know. But it did work for us. It is a little heavier that the original. Go on YouTube and there are videos how to do it. However, they make it look easy but it took us much longer.

**Q: Does this work for top down blinds, as well?**
A: Yes, we used it on a top down blind.

**Q: How long is the threading needle, not counting the handle? the "stacked" height of my blinds is about 5.5 inches. thanks!**
A: the  thread "needle" is in fact just 5.5" long. But you can make your own using some 20 gage wire bent over in half to create a loop to capture the tread.  The upplied "needle" is just bent wire with a clip at one end.

**Q: Will this work for 10 year old honey comb duet shades? our shades have broken several times and it seems like the internal cords have snapped or snag.**
A: Yes, it worked on our 10 year old ones.  The instructions are great and You Tube helps. The log threading needle I great.

Instructions are a little hard to figure out but you tube was an enormous help on how to replace this on an old shade. It saved me a lot of money and keep 30 year old shades out of the landfill. Now they function as good as new.

### ⭐ Not the same thickness nor strength as the original.

Cord is not quite as thick as original and therefore the blind won't "stop" when it is pulled up. I spent the last 2 years battling the shade after this purchase and yesterday it broke (after being gingerly cared for the entire time). Buy another brand of cord or plan on replacing it again in the near future.

This kits seemed pretty expensive. But it had the parts I needed to restring my blind, which the local vendor charges $100 for. I watched teh You Tube instruction video and with LOTS of patience got the job done in about 2 1/2 hours. The blind work like new.
