The online directions and video are both better than what comes in the box so you should probably check that out too. The one things I did differently than the instructions was to attach the foam to the bottom of the speaker cone (where the original had been) instead of to the top where the instructions recommended. This made the glue a bit harder to apply but made it MUCH easier to center the new foam surround on the speaker cone.Overall a good product and a very good fit for this application if a bit expensive for what you get. Much cheaper than a new system though! The sub sounds great again, much better than it has in several years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Right Part *by on Reviewed in the United States February 2, 2026* Exactly the right part; arrived early; fixed a rattling subwoofer; sounds great and an easy installation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap speaker fix *by on Reviewed in the United States August 31, 2018* Perfect fix for my super old but otherwise working great Klipsch THX system. It's a bit over 20-years old! One of the sub-woofers started buzzing on the low notes, after I pooped the covers I could see holes and tears in the old foam on one of the speakers. I was thinking of buying a full replacement speaker but this is much cheaper if not a more involved of a fix.This took me around 2 hours to install plus amply time to dry after an hour of study on the videos and instructions, as I was slow and careful as I've never done a repair like this before. I had left quite a bit of the old foam on the speaker as I couldn't figure out how to get it all off without possibly tearing the cone. I was worried that this would impact the sound but it didn't at all. I think as long as there are no loose parts hanging off it is fine.
