Authors show you the basics from what a square knot is and how to tie it (a basic knot that everyone who picks up a rope should know) to what kind of rope can be used and on to basic rope designs to be used by everyone regardless of gender or sexual orientation. This book does not discriminate on any level but gives education and even helps to show you where to get materials and where you might want to go next after this book. There are other books out there that are good but only if you have a basic understanding, which this book provides. I added this book to my educational shelf as it even has great designs for anyone outside of the novice.
