However, I am extremely impressed with this little cam!The video quality is excellent and I tend to use it mostly a setting or two down from the best resolution that it offers. It has quite a broad capture area, but could be slightly improved, but for the price, I couldn't possibly expect any better.The menu is straight forward and has a very simple method of use. I read through the user manual when it arrived and haven't needed to touch it since, as once you start to use the camera you will very quickly get used to the functioning system.If you like myself are on a budget and can't afford an expensive camera, but really need something to make some videos to broadcast or to keep as records, then this is the perfect inexpensive option for you! It does everything you need and does it really well!The main thing that I wasn't entirely happy with was the fact that it is not mac compatible, but I purchase an adapter for the mini SD card that is compatible with my mac, so even that is no longer a hinderance.The item arrived with many accessories, two battery packs, a little bag/case, then only thing you need to get on the go is a mini SD card, what more could you want?!Well worth the money, you will not be disappointed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good image quality and stabilisation for the money. *by G***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2019* I was thinking of buying one of the big name action cameras but they are very expensive and I was curious as to what these cheaper models were like. I watched some videos others had uploaded and thought I'd give it a try given that the samples were really quite good for the money.The camera came packaged with an overwhelming number of adaptors and having never had an action cam before I had to scratch my head for a bit trying to figure out which to use. A spare battery for both camera and remote was included which was a nice touch. I bought an Amazon head strap which worked fine with it.It charged up rapidly as I connected it to a USB plug rather than my PC. Full charge is indicated by the red light going out. It didn't say that in the manual so I had to figure it out myself.The camera was easy to set up. I changed a few things like turning off the time and date stamp. It's like using the menu's on a dashcam where you just use 3 buttons but it is fine and you only do it once.The remote control works but my only complaint is that I wish the remote would flash blue when recording. I assume it doesn't do this because it would drain the battery. Still it would be good as when the camera was on my head I had to ask people if the blue light on the camera was flashing to confirm that it had started recording. This was a big concern when using the waterproof casing as it sometimes didn't start when using the buttons on that. I suppose the phone app might do that but I kept wifi turned off to maximise battery life so I haven't tested it.I tested it out at a running event. I only used 1080p 30 because I didn't want to edit a massive file size and certain sites like FB and flickr don't support 4K anyway. My 32GB micro SD card could hold a ridiculous amount of footage at that resolution/frame rate and the 40 mins I spent recording did not challenge the battery at all.I mounted the camera on my hat and the real test for me was whether the stabilisation would work when running. Also it was in torrential rain and poor light so it was a good test of how well the sensor handled tough conditions.Both the stabilisation and video quality were highly satisfactory! Given that this is a third of the price of the entry level "big name" cameras, I think the results are excellent. Obviously you can't expect quite as good results of something three times the price, let alone the top "black" model of the brand name camera which clearly delivers much better results. At this price though I think you are getting more than what you paid for and I'd feel that the entry level big name cameras aren't really worth the money.Either buy one of these, or if you are really after absolutely perfect stabilisation and image quality you will have to shell out for the top brand name "black" model that is six times the price. I'd never get the entry level brand name model.I ran in torrential rain so I used the waterproof casing. Surprisingly the audio was perfectly usable even though the instructions say the microphone doesn't work when using that case. Sure you need to turn the volume up but it's great that you do get usable sound even in the full case. The case did its job and the camera stayed bone dry.Can't fault the product for the money. It's almost disposable at that price so I can enjoy using it and not stress about it getting lost, stolen or damaged. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Sharp and incredible value, but... *by T***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2020* Used this camera on my bike and swimming and amazed and delighted with how sharp the pictures are. Image stabilisation is good but the camera is not attached directly to the bike. Colour is a bit flat (the footage doesn't sparkly in the way GoPro does, and the battery cover is flimsy, but value is amazing.But I've sent 2 requests for the firmware update to be able to use it as a webcam and not heard anything back yet.
