I have small-medium sized hands, and while this pen is substantial, it is well balanced and not too long or too heavy. And the pewter finish gives it a most elegant appearance. I rotate my pens around, taking a few different ones each day: this is my new "carry it to work every day" pen. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I absolutely adore this pen and it is one of ... *by C***Z on August 10, 2015* I absolutely adore this pen and it is one of my every day writers. However, I wish the finish held onto the metal for longer. I've only had the pen for a month or two and already there are some large chips out of the pewter coloring on the metal. If the pen would have stay nicer looking for longer, it would be 5 stars without a doubt. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nemosine Fission .8mm *by K***R on March 29, 2016* Great pen! I have the .8mm nib and I love the visible width variation with my strokes, the lines are very thick and may be too thick for some people so the .6mm might be a good suggestion too. The pen came with 6 cartridges of black ink, it writes a bit dry on the dry side, but I'm not sure if its the ink or the pen yet since I haven't tried other inks.PROS:very solid and heavy, writes very smoothly, comes with a converter that holds lots of inkCONS:the nib has a little freedom in the fitting so it may move just a little but its not noticeable while writing. It writes a little dry for my taste but that can probably be fixed by flossing the nib. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/14708676-fission-fountain-pen-0-8-mm-calligraphy-german-nib-pewter](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/14708676-fission-fountain-pen-0-8-mm-calligraphy-german-nib-pewter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
