But the average person has no idea who Maxwell is or how prolific his contributions to physics and modern society. This is a classic book and a great read. I don't have the math background for a good part of it, but it is still worthwhile reading the theorems and his commentary and discussion. As a reprint this is clean, though I wish someone would typeset this to a less cluttered font and presentation.
