Ck with the MB mfg Also, the MB may require a BIOS up date from "X4" to "X6" **Q: I have a hp p7-1010 desktop. approved cpu upgrade: "amd phenom ii x6 10xxt six-core (thuban core)". i have ordered, and assume this will work, yes?** A: So from what I was able to look up, working on your computer is a yes, but 2 issues may come up because your motherboard max TDP is 95w while the CPU you ordered is rated at TDP 125w. Which means that it may on average load your motherboard with a higher temperature than it is rated to handle, therefore shorting the life of your motherboard. The other problem maybe just not getting the full performance from the cpu as well. A better cpu cooler may help but I cannot be sure. The highest model of the thuban core listed at 95w is the 1065t (according to the List of AMD microprocessors on wikipedia) **Q: Work with motherboard biostar TA870+** A: Sure does... per Biostar's website: the Mobo Supports Socket AM3 processors, and, thus supports the AMD Mutil Core (x6,x4,x2) CPU. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Noticeable Difference *by R***K on August 14, 2023* I upgraded my 11-year old computer from a 4-core to the 6-core. I can certainly tell the difference. I do graphics and music, and this processor boosted my old PC just good enough without having to do a complete rebuild and spend thousands of dollars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ greatness. *by U***L on June 11, 2016* i bought this one instead of the 1100 because of the huge price difference. its the second best am3 cpu you can find/get.this thing is a beast plain and simple. my desktop, is one i built my self. this cpu, a nvidia 970 gfx card, 4x 4gb ram, a ssd/hdd 2tb , wd black 1tb hdd.i run everything at max settings with no noticable issuses. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good processor. I have tried overclocking a few time ... *by K***R on August 3, 2016* Really good processor. I have tried overclocking a few time and am only able to get it to 3.8 before it goes down hill. I'm sure there is more in it but I have not figured it out yet. Other than that, it does the job that I want it to. ## Frequently Bought Together - AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition HDT90ZFBK6DGR Six-Core DeskTop CPU Processor 3.2GHz AM3 OEM - Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ White Certified PSU, Continuous Power with 120mm Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan, ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V Active PFC Power Supply PS-SPD-0500NPCWUS-W - Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro-ATX Tower with Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Adjustable I/O & Fully Ventilated Airflow, Black (MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/147265011-amdphenom-ii-x6-1090t-black-edition-hdt90zfbk6dgr-six-core-desktop](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/147265011-amdphenom-ii-x6-1090t-black-edition-hdt90zfbk6dgr-six-core-desktop) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
