    Questionable teacher-student relationship

I am gay, but the relationship between the teacher and the student and its justification in the story is bothersome.  Perhaps the Japanese attitude is different.  In a way it is sweet, but the imbalance of ages raises questions.  The home life of the boys is almost bizarre.  Wishful thinking on the part of older Japanese gay men?  Still, the story was compelling.
