Almost didn't buy because of the top review talking about the bits blowing up. Ordered anyways and it cuts like a champ. I'm working with an underpowered lathe and I'm pretty new to this all and I'm cutting T5 Titanium on my first project on a metal lathe. On top of that I REALY abused this bit, I mean like I said basically zero experience, and it held up damn well and didn't break/explode and was still sharp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great and insert holds tight! *by B***D on May 30, 2020* Tool works great in my bench top lathe. Needed something with insert because I don't always have the time to grind an edge on HSS. No chatter and the insert stays put unlike other I've tried:) ### ⭐ Dangerous Carbide tips. JUNK, they fail by splitting down the middle. *by J***F on August 7, 2021* I have tried the OScarbide tools before, but the quality of these are just plain junk. I ordered 5 extra tips, and the first three failed within a matter of minutes cutting at a very slow feed rate, and 70 rpms on the lathe with full coolant flowing on part.The carbides just explode. The first one wouldn't even cut, screamed like a cat stuck in a boiler. The insert totally failed, and tore up the tool holder.The next two just seperated in half, down the middle as shown in the pictures. I finished the parting with a HSS steel China Parting 5/8 bit sharpened, and centered. It cut through the stainless like butter making ribbon chips. Been machining for a lot of years but when Chinese HSS blades cut better than carbide, and it doesn't explode. The last carbide tip that blew up flew past my head, and literally stuck in a piece of wood cabinet 12 feet behind me.
