You will be glad you did. Especially if it's on sale! *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2021* Here's a detailed review for ya, if you don't want to read, just stop now and buy the lamp! You won't be upset! ❤️I own multiple kinds of "grow" lights and these are by far my best deal & favorite set. I usually get bulbs that go into a lamp but these are so simple and don't require a smart plug or a plug in timer to get the lights on a consistent light schedule. The color is very pleasing to the eye. I've never owned purple lights - LOVE the color purple, dislike the atmosphere it creates in the spaces I've seen with them. We want to relax at home, not feel like I'm at a party from my early 20s 😂 The brightness on this set has five levels and you can turn on one, two or all three lights. I personally have them all on at the brightest because my house is so dark. The timer function gives you 3/6/12 hour cycles and as long as power is uninterrupted, it will continue to turn on and off with no assistance after the initial set up.When I first was installing, I unintentionally pulled one of the bulbs out of its casing while it was on. I realized it seems to be made that way. It actually worked better for me to leave it apart and command strip the light head to the bottom of the second tier on the plant shelf. The arms are a bit top heavy so this kept the lights from touching my plants. On the glass shelf (left in picture) I used a zip tie for each head. I have the lamp positioned in a way that it is clamped on a side pole & the arms are downward. This caused a little more drop to the lamp from the weight so the zip ties took care of that problem. Each lamp only took me a few minutes to install even with doing my little extras to make myself totally satisfied.I've purchased a $30 lamp set up similar to this but the lights aren't replaceable, they are very skinny and long. I got this lamp for $16 on sale and it makes me cringe knowing I've paid $30 for a lesser product all around. I have put these poor things through everything. Currently they are rewired without the timer and adjustable structure😂 I needed them to run on a smart plug with my other lights, as these don’t automatically power on when plugged in. Here's why.I wanted to add this unit to a group several other LED grow lights that are all controlled by one smart plug at the wall power outlet. A computer program then controls when all of the lights turn on and turn off. If power is turned off to this particular unit while the lights are switched on, they turn off of course, but they remain off even when power turns back on again. You must go to the unit and turn the unit's lights back on on using its built in switch. That's unworkable in my situation.A related concern, although I did not need to test it, related to whether there was a timer setting for always on if the lights were switched on or was the user limited to the three optional timer settings. Finally, it appeared that the only way to set the time when a timer setting turned on and off was to plug the unit into the wall at the desired start time.
