Whilst we have not had any similar reports, it is possible that the adhesive used for the inner tamper-proof seal has come into contact with the lid also, making the lid difficult to remove. Because the adhesive is applied using heat, you may find that running the lid under hot water will help to aid its release. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
