The padding is decent and I love the backpack-style straps. It also has enough room in the bag that I can leave a strap attached to the ukulele without any fit issues.I’d feel comfortable traveling with this bag when I’d be the only one handling it, like on a road trip. I would not trust it as a checked bag, but I didn’t buy it for that purpose.I gave it 4 stars because unfortunately the bag is shipped folded, which compressed some of the foam at the neck of the bag, and I can feel the foam is thinner in that area as it didn’t fully recover from being folded.I still like it though, and I think that for the price it is a very good value.
