It protects and repairs electrical wiring and may be applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces. With a temperature range of -75 degrees Fahrenheit to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, this sealant resists oil, water, weather, vibration, and grease. Applied several layers, giving each some time to set, refilled it and it seems to be working. Also have a few other things around the house to use it for. Remember if you get the larger size that you will need a caulking gun to dispense it.

**Q: Can this be used to glue up a shower surround?**
A: If you're talking about sealing the corners, yes.  If you're talking about securing the surround itself to the walls, I would say no. There are specific adhesives designed for securing the surround sides to the walls, depending on what the walls are made of (brick, wallboard, plaster, etc.)

**Q: Will paint adhere to it?**
A: Almost certain no. The box says, "Note: Paint will not adhere to cured silicone"

I used this to glue the seat cushion back to the base on a Honda Pioneer SxS that came unglued over the years. I cleaned both surfaces as best I could and wiped both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. I put a good amount of this product down on the base and placed the cushion back on and taped the two all the way around to get the best fit and contact. I did notice that this stuff starts to dry pretty quickly so work fast. I could tell it was already setting up by the time I got all the way around the seat taping it. The next day I took off all the tape and it was holding well. Only time will tell how long it will hold with constant movement on the seat everytime it is used.
