While the book treads on interesting plot points unfortunately the entire story is ruined thanks to a single character, Fantomex. I stupidly didn’t realise he was part of the squad before I bought this. If you disliked him in new Xmen (like me), prepare to vehemently despise him here. He destroys every story arc in this book. Just to name a few, He manipulates another team member to cheat on their partner, he does despicable acts and has an annoying personality. I found myself skimming certain pages and rushing to close this book. This turned out to be the first omnibus I regret buying. If you’re really interested in reading this, use marvel unlimited. If you like it then I’d recommend buying the hardback.
