Every once in a while, completely unpredictably, I would get a sharp pain, like an ice pick, in my ankle. Had x-rays and an MRI to diagnose and the foot specialist recommendedthese as the first non-surgical step to pain relief (along with loosing weight!).I wasn't expecting much but I've been greatly impressed with the comfort and support these provide. The full, deep heel cup really helps keep the foot properly positioned. I didn't get a single instance of the "zap" for weeks.
