## Description

You may already be familiar with the name Horst Leitner due to his many years as a motocross and motorcycle racing champion. Today, AMP Research is known and respected throughout the world for developing innovative, ergonomic and highly functional truck and van accessories such as PowerSteps, BedSteps and Bed X-tenders for work and recreational purposes.

Review: easy install - I installed my AMP research steps on a 2015 GMC Denali 6.6. I got them installed just under two hours. There is plenty of room for the cords to be fused.
Review: Works well....with an exception. - Works just like they say it does. Plug the middle one in the OBD2 port, plug one end into the PowerStep harness and one end stays open for service or for other OBD2 accessories such as the Banks iDash or Edge CT/CTS2 digital gauges. The caveat on the install for my 2016 Ram 2500: the instructions show unscrewing the factory OBD2 port and plugging in the end port of the harness into the factory bracket. Doesn't work on the Rams that way. Their port snaps in place so I've had to zip tie everything instead. I'll probably fabricate a bracket to mount the open OBD2 port so a service tech doesn't have to unplug my steps every time a go in for maintenance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome, Just Know This........

I gave 5 stars overall because the harness itself once you get it installed is an awesome setup. Most know all OBD2 connectors and ports are universal, but be aware that unless you drive a GMC or a Chevy you will have to modify placement of additional (new) OBD2 connector from this harness. The connectors on this harness are universal only with the port connection not with the bracket that the connector will be mounted on. Brackets are manufacturer specific and in the case of this harness it is only compatible, without modification, on GMC and Chevy.
