    Inspiring book for young authors!

This book was written by my daughter when she was 10 years old.  She woke up every morning one summer, went to the computer and kept writing until she was finished.  We published it (without edits) as a gift for her 11th birthday.

Trying not to judge a book by its cover (attached), I opened the book and started reading. I’ve seen amazing & creative short stories written by girls the same age, unpublished. This was uninspired, and frankly troubling to be written by a 12 year old. My daughter loves to read, and she read a quarter of this book, put it down and went & did something else.  Odd, I thought. I went and checked on her twice.  If my child gets bored by a book, that is telling.  And that is why I picked it up and started reading.  I’m sending this back.  There are no values in this book I want my child picking up.Just a warning to parents that have impressionable children, this book might not be the right choice.  I would never put  stilettos on a child. Se*ualizing a child (attached) author is also very troubling.
