I'm not sure what the manufacturer's warranty is. Although, I have been having serious issues with this item since I rec'd it. The manufacturer (in China) is convinced that my issues are a result of incorrect installation. It's a little difficult to install it wrong if you read the install manual. 1. Make sure the unit is full of water prior to plugging in. 2. Connect your cold to the inlet (blue) 3. Connect hot to the outlet (red).... Pretty straight forward....or so I thought. The manufacturer asked me to send them a picture of the unit installed. I did...then they told me that I did it incorrectly. They sent me a picture of the correct mounting....which is upside-down from what the install manual shows. I, in turn, sent them a picture of their own install manual showing what it stated. Then told them that the incorrect installation was their fault because the manual is opposite from what they were telling me! I've contacted Amazon, but because it is sold as a "Third party"....Amazon isn't able to initiate getting me a replacement. I am extremely miffed being that this is my sole source of hot water and I'm really getting sick of bathing out of a bucket while this company jerks me around! These guys do not back up their product and are trying their best to lay blame on the consumer! Do not buy this unit! And stay clear of this manufacturer (Xiaochubao) if you can. **Q: Does this unit have a tank or not? I'm getting confusing info from various descriptions. Thanks.** A: To answer the question, yes, a small tank. It holds 8L (a hair over 2 gal). Not enough to use for a shower. **Q: Btu rating** A: 10,236 btu/hr **Q: How many amps to run** A: Mine is in my shop which is a 20 amp circuit. In looking it up the 1500 watt water heater would need a 15.6 amp breaker so you would go up to the next which would be 20 amps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works for my use is excellent *by R***O on Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2019* I used copper tubing for use. I is used for my shop to wash rags towels etc use with small rv washer and spinner. Also purchased a large wash tube that had faucets included for giving my dogs a bath. The all work well in combination. Water heater holds over two gallons and you can make the water real hot. I also found if I use a lot of hot water it will still maintain warm water almost continuously. It looks great but since in my shop I did not need to hide water lines or heater but heater looks as good as pictures on Amazon Page. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Worked fine for a year now trips the breaker *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2021* I've had this unit installed for 14 months. It worked fine with no issues for the first 13 months. Now when you start to use hot water and the unit kicks on to reheat, after about 3 minutes, it trips the GFCI outlet. Plugged the unit directly into another GFCI on a different circuit, does the same thing. Time to fine another manufacturer. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars For the money...not bad. *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2019* Good for sink or wash basin. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/148624856-dominty-electric-hot-water-heater-for-kitchen-bathroom-household-8l](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/148624856-dominty-electric-hot-water-heater-for-kitchen-bathroom-household-8l) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
