We use a number of weighted blankets in our home, and I can personally attest to their effectiveness therapeutically, both for children and adults. All those hours at night, her little body feels like it is being hugged and cradled. That's much better than having her filled with anxiety and fear all those hours, night after night - not gonna happen on our watch.Try it.Don't get a big one or try to share one with someone. The big ones tend to slip off the side of the bed in the middle of the night. I see the small ones as being "personal sized" and I use this one at my desk during the day. I have RLS and I find that having it draped across my lap as I lift my legs is a good way to stretch out my muscles and "scratch" my creepy crawlies.You don't want to throw this in the washing machine, it is spot clean only, so you also want to consider getting a cover for it.
