The costume is as pretty as the picture, well-made and appears sturdy enough to hold up for a while. As stated you get the dress and pinafore (apron) not the tights and shoes or headband. I bought the size 8-10 after reading other reviews and while it is long enough for my 10 yr old daughter (who is of average size, neither the biggest or smallest in her class) she cannot do the dress up in the back and will need to wear a t-shirt under it. Other reviews suggested it runs quite big. I can't remember if a larger size was offered but that is the one I should have bought. However as it is only for Halloween and dress up it does not matter and still looks very pretty on. I definitely recommend it, just watch the size. If your daughter (or son) was particularly slender it would be just right.

I was excited about this costume--it looked well made, and many of the reviews mentioned that it was a satin material (the dress part). It is not-- the blue part is a cheapy nylon/polyester looking material that really cheapened the look. Also, it has a tie closure at the neckline which is awkward, and then just two small strips of velcro to close up the dress back. But-- it fits my daughter well, and she loves it. And it is better quality than many costumes. She is almost 8, average build, and around 65 lbs. The small fits her well, and is tea-length on her. The apron straps are a little too long, so I'll need to do some altering there. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase, and only a tad disappointed. :)

Really fast shipping! I love it!!!I am small for my age (17) usually fitting a children's size 11 and 12 and I was worried about the sizing for this costume after reading other reviews. I ordered a medium (8-10) and I would say it is a one or two sizes larger than stated. The dress does fits me perfectly and the quality is great for what you pay! The apron is quite large and will need to be pinned but overall I am really happy with this costume!

When ordering this I was worried about sizing and quality. When it arrived my worries went away quickly. This outfit is so cute and just right. I bought it a size up than what my daughter wears and she has more than enough room. The apron is a little on the bigger side but we make due tying it up in the back.

Good quality dress and apron especially. Agree with other reviewers, runs large. My tall, skinny 7 year old usually fits a size 7 or 8 dress, mostly for length. This is a little longer than tea length and roomy throughout. Dress closure is a small piece of Velcro and a tie closure. But for a Halloween costume, I am impressed!

Maybe I miss read the description, but I thought my 6 year old would fit in this. It is huge on her! It's OK though because it's just for holloween, but I'm going to have to do my own little alterations just to keep the apron on her shoulders. Otherwise, looks great, good qualtity. Don't like the velcro on the back, zipper would be better, but I knew I was going to have to deal with the velcro prior to it arriving in the mail.

This is a fair deal. The quality isn’t super great (the sewing was a bit “off”), but it’s just fine for the price. Once we added a big hair bow and a petticoat underneath, it looked much better. It worked great for our dress-up themed birthday party.

My daughter is an average sized 5 year old. The costume sized child extra small was so big that the dress came all the way to the floor and the apron was way too big also. It's a shame because as far as costumes go it was really cute. The material is costume quality so nothing great, but it's what I expected for the price. I ordered a replacement for the first one thinking that it was just sized incorrectly, when I received the replacement it was exactly the same as the first one, so I am returning that one also.
