Will the cube be consumed? Do I throw the cube away at some point?** A: you can break the cubes up if you like. yes throw them a way when the mice are gone or keep it out for returning mice in a safe place **Q: 144, or 72? Title and picture says "Pail of 144", but in "specifications" it says 72.** A: Even the seller seems wrong. The ad says 1 ounce each. Multiply that times the 144 shown on the label and you have 9 lbs which is also on the label. No where do I find a quantity of 72 for sale but I have a couple of tubs of 64 in the garage and that agrees with the 4 lb label on the side. 72 would equal 4.5 lbs which I have not seen but if thats the case we have a bit of bait (funny) and switch according to the folks who answered the question including the seller. Lets hope its just confusion and not worse. **Q: Do i need to use a bait station since i have a rat problem in the attic to ue this product** A: Yes you must put them in bait stations. I sell them in my amazon store. However I would not use bait inside. You risk them dying inside the wall and you not being able to find them. They your house will stink of dead rodents. Twice, I have bought these bait blocks and just threw them in and around the stuff in the barn and the garage. Both times I have made the mistake of closing the container of bait, but leaving it in the room. The rats have, twice, chewed thru the plastic container to get at it's contents. So, they love the bait, but as much as they love it, they don't seem to be around anymore to have seconds. Now, the bait does not seem to be quick acting, but it is very effective.
