Therefore, carrying your passport & maybe extra cash in a case around your neck is a great as well as convenient way to travel when flying internationally. I have had my wallet stolen on a domestic flight when it fell out of my handbag which was under the seat in front of me. At least I was in this country and thank goodness, I was not alone. So, I can only imagine what it would be like to be in a foreign country without your bank card and your passport ! This type of case lessens the chance that that will happen. This is not my first case like this. They are light on your neck - good for anyone like me with a bad neck or back or if you do not want to get one ! It is very reasonably priced, very pretty & genuine leather, too - I'm a leather snob - sorry to some of you!The only problem that I had & it was not with this particular item - but one like it - was that the zipper did not last. There was room for passport and extras. I can even fit my iPhone in it although I believe the cord, which is notate of leather but of a nylon type material will rub the neck if too heavy. It's good quality for $7, but not amazing. If it were more than $10-15 I would have been annoyed.The reason for my low rating was the smell. It smelled so musty and like mothballs that I had to throw it away the next day. Even my passport and money that were in it smelled like that for a few days. I could smell it from feet away. Sitting in my seat, I could smell it in my purse, on the floor. Like I said, I threw it away and bought a less attractive one at the airport.
