It is basically a sketch pad with a difference. The drawing is made on the little screen using a special stylus. There's a lock/unlock button on the back if you want to keep the drawing. There's an easy press button on the front which instantly cleans the board for the next piece of artwork. You could use it for notes, but I think the most useful purpose is for a child to doodle on.
