I bought the Kipa HSR at 1/3 the price of a genuine Mikuni and am so happy I went with the Kipa! Great product, great finish, and best of all... unbelievable performance and absolutely ZERO carb coughs! Throttle response is night and day from the CV, and haven't had it cough once. Would highly recommend buying a name brand Mikuni rebuild kit for the carb before installing to ensure all seals and o-rings are in good condition correct size, as well as correctly sized and labeled pilot and main jets. I left the needle jet and accelerator pump as-is and they work just fine for me with my application. Will be buying again and again for any V-twin application I have down the road. Wonderful product! I have complete sets of pilot jets, main jets, jet needles and even air jets but I couldn't get this carb to run correctly just off idle in any configuration. I asked the seller what size jets were installed but never got an answer. Suspecting it was just the carb I ordered a genuine Mikuni HSR42, installed it and it works perfectly, no jetting needed. You get what you pay for, but something is different about this carb as I proved. Not recommended, buy an OEM Mikuni would be my advice. Since it is now used due to testing I'm wondering if I can get a refund.
