**Q: Is the diameter of the flush valve 2"?**
A: not sure about diameter of large tube that goes between tank and bowl.  Seems larger than 2".   Cant really measure since installed. Here is link to picture https://www.plumbingsupply.com/images/kohler-flush-valve-85406.jpg   .   THis is the only one that fits Kohler Highline toilets and worth the price.  Key Is triangular gasket at bottom that only comes with Kolher

**Q: will this fit a 4609 model toilet?**
A: Yes, but if your ballcock is not adjustable style water will over flow the tube. If it is adjustable just change water level to the mark on the tube, or about 3/4 inch below the top of the tube. This item fits most all Kohler tanks with the three bolt configuration.

**Q: I installed this but still have a slow leak from tank into the bowl.  Is the flapper opening the only place water can flow from tank to bowl?**
A: make sure you have the nut tight enough or not over tigthen. Make sure the flapper is coming all the down to seal. Make sure you don't have a cracks .

**Q: Do I have to buy the fill valve too?**
A: If you're already buying the flush valve and the three bolt tank seal, you might as well replace the fill valve also. Replacing those three items will make the toilet like new for many years.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE - "LEAKY FLAPPER VALVE"

I deleted an earlier 1 star review for this product regarding a "defective" assembly due to a leaky flapper valve. Basically, an in internal leak with no external spillage, but you can hear a very slow trickle leak. This has the tank do a partial refill every 15 minutes or so and which is obviously unacceptable. Amazon sent a replacement that I received 2 days later. Upon install, it too had a "leaky flapper valve". This made me question my earlier conclusion. I found that hand pressure on the valve did not improve sealing. I also found that when I disconnected it from the hinge pins (so that had no constraints to free, unhindered positioning), it still leaked. As I had previously inspected the sealing surfaces of both the valve and the valve seat, I realized the issue is NOT related to the flapper valve itself! The issue was that the seal that was actually leaking was the seal between the vertical stand tube and the toilet. This seal integrity is controlled by the large plastic nut that the directions say needs to be hand tight + 1/4 turn. In my case, this as NOT sufficient, and the consequences are that the fitting leaks. Key thing is that the leak is INTERNAL, ie, does not leak external on the floor etc. The result is that the tank slowly drains, and hence it does a partial refill every 15 minutes or so. By tightening the large plastic nut with channel locks so it was good and snug (not crazy tight), I completely addressed my trickle leak that was driving me crazy. I SUSPECT others who have been unhappy with "leaky flapper valves" may also have had the same issue
