I sit at a desk doing computer work all day and I'm a big guy (6'5") with broad shoulders. My posture and musculature regular pull my back out of alignment and the resulting pain causes knots of muscles to get tighter and tighter. I've only used this once, but it did provide relief and a lot more pressure than my 8 year old could manage with an elbow. I have a problem with getting these painful knots in my thighs and buttocks.
