The sound is more raw exhaust but not a harsh pop. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Really LOUD! *by D***6 on Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2023* I recently got a Ninja 250r in a trade plus cash for a classic BSA Lighting. I had wanted a smaller bike since I have a lot of really twisty canyon roads to play on and my 600, I could barely blip the throttle between corners. The first thing I wanted to change was the exhaust since the 250 sounds like a scooter until about 8000 rpm and I also believe that loud pipes save lives. Wow was this one loud, so loud I was constantly getting the universal "slow down" sign from pedestrians even when going (close) to the speed limit, maybe a little too loud. Installation was easy but the muffler gasket that came with the stock muffler fell apart when I was changing it, I used a small piece of header wrap to fix the problem, but it would have been nice if they had included some or a new gasket with the muffler. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. I have since replaced it with a full Yoshimura exhaust which sounds great albeit a bit Quiter. If you like to scare old ladies and have mothers clutch their children in fear when you're going (close to) the speed limit, this one is a good value. It's also very light and looks great, I think I prefer the way it looks to the Yoshimura. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good sound *by K***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2023* I like the upgraded sound from stock and it looks really nice on my ninja 400. I did end up having to go to Home Depot to buy tighter tension springs though because these were so loose i could put them on with just two fingers, yikes. Quick $4 fix but still.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Poor spring fitment creates leak *by C*** on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2023* Firstly my dislike, the springs are simply too long for the application the top was totally loose and bottom not much better. I had to bend back the hooks to get some tension which I circled in red. Sadly there is a small leak at the flange because of insufficient tension even afterwards which I circled in orange. This is the only complaint I have causing 4 stars. If the springs where shorter and provided a good deal this would be a 5 star ratingWhat did I like? Ease of install for sure and it sounds much better now. Good sounding muffler and all hardware required for installation. Test drove bike afterwards to allow a heat cycle and all burn off to occur.
