It features a reliable sticky suction mechanism for easy installation and a 2-year limited warranty, ensuring durability and peace of mind on your journeys. ## Description The TTEP179 sticky suction windshield or dashboard mount replaces or upgrades an existing TomTom Easy Port mount and is ideal for use with TomTom models having the Easy Port pattern, including XXL 530, 530S, 535, 535T, 540, 540M, 540WTE, 550, 550M, 550T, 555, 555T, M, T, and WTE GPS Navigators, as well as START 40, 45, 55, and XL; XL and XXL; and ONE 125, ONE 130, and ONE 140 models. This mount includes Arkon's sticky suction mounting pedestal with a Dual-T head and 3-inch articulating arm, a TomTom Easy Port pattern adapter, and an optional adhesive dash mounting disk. The sticky suction mounting pedestal is ideal for car dashboards, windshields, and other flat or slightly textured surfaces. The mount's base uses a powerful combination of polyurethane gel and suction to provide a maximum surface bond. The 3-inch articulating arm of the pedestal adjusts vertically and provides 360-degree rotation, giving you the ultimate flexibility in positioning the TomTom GPS at any angle. To install the mount, attach the Dual T-Slots of the TomTom Easy Port adapter to the Dual T-Tab head of the sticky suction pedestal. Attach the TomTom GPS device to the adapter. Set the pedestal on the mounting surface and push down on the one-touch lever to engage the suction. In order to prevent permanent indentation marks on dashboard surfaces made of soft vinyl, leather, or similar materials, Arkon recommends using the included 3M adhesive mounting disk. While powerfully strong, the sticky suction mount is also easily removable and reusable. The adapter mount (circle plastic part) is too wide/large and the GSP falls out, even during smooth highway driving. I have been working with Bryan at Arkon to get a adapter that fits. He was able to find and send one (via express air mail) that is a bit better, but the XL still falls out. Very good customer service but I'm still left with a mount that does not hold the GPS unit securely.
