First of all I was trying to buy one for my wife that is like her grandmothers old backgammon set. (Of course nothing is made like they use to be). So i got this and it looked great. I am not a fan of the velvet outside, but I like the blue. the inside is stitched and looks great. Based on the other review i expected the chips to match 100% the same (well at least the white). However, the white matches perfectly and the blue is off. I do not mind that as much though because I expected it to a certain extent. The major problem I have is that when you have the chips all lined up on the 6 pips there is way to much room in the middle of them. The Chips should be larger so there isn't as much room.I am now going to order Chips that are 1 7/16" dia. (The ones that come with it are 1 1/4) This should make a big difference with playing. I hope these now work better and I will be happy with it, just upset that I am going to be spending more money than I planned.
