There is no way to accurately set the thump strap for a Sig Sauer P229R as the screws for the belt loop interfere with the length of the thump strap. I tried contacting Bushnell and my message was returned to sender undeliverable. If you're looking for a first rate level 3 retention holster DONT BUY FROM AMAZON!! You are better off finding your local police supply store and special order the exact fit for your duty weapon. If there was an ability to give a negative star this would be a -3 ⭐ rating ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect fit! I purchased this holster for my off duty training belt to match the one my department uses. I am not giving this 5 stars only because initailly the adjustment screw was stripped that came with the holster which is supposed to tighten and help keep holster from sliding around on the belt.
