I have raved over and over again about Michel Design Works products and their gorgeous botanical artwork with its vibrant colors and stunning designs.  This version, with its understated gray-blue and light brown/tan colors of shells, coral and starfish, did not especially appeal to me.  It is so different from the other designs I have loved.  But I put together an assortment of packages of napkins to give my elderly aunt for her everyday use, to brighten up her meals and remind her of nature and her gardens.  All the others napkins were the typical Michel verdant greens, orange-reds, and rose-pinks of flowers, fruit and vegetables along with rabbits, birds and flowers, the ones I gravitate to and enjoy so much for my own use.  To my surprise, she picked out this design especially, although she seemed to like them all.  It reminded her of the sea, of course, and happy times visiting Hawaii.  My conclusion is that this company knows design, and I can trust their choices even when they aren't my personal favorites.
