As a frequent swimmer who also colors my hair - I began to notice a slight green/ yellow tinge to my brown hair. Then after a recent trip oversees where I was not swimming and using their water- my hair was soft and shiny -yet as soon as I returned home to swimming and hard water - my hair felt dry, frizzy and unmanageable. This has been a game changer! I read some reviews about the smell but to me it smells like a fruity, floral drug store shampoo! And it works! Just a handful of uses in, my hair is soft, the weird discoloring is gone and it does not strip hair color! I just cannot believe I have waited so long to try - my hair has not looked or felt this good in a long time !
Review: Took tons of my purple dye out of my hair after two washes on dry hair - First thing I wanna say is that this definitely is not a shampoo that should be used with color treated hair unless that color is what you want to remove from your hair. I’m actually not sure how well this works for chlorine, but because it took so much of my purple hair dye out of my hair, I know for a fact that this will work wonderfully for green chlorine as well. Actually, the whole reason I thought it was because when I got my hair dyed, it turned out way more purple than I had intended, and I really needed to dial it back. It has been about three months since I’ve had my hair dyed, and some of it has faded, but the majority of it was still very purple. I googled how to fade hair dye quickly and this shampoo showed up and so I bought it right away. The first and only time I had used it so far it faded my purple hair by at least 40-50%. I do want to tell you that when I used it, I did not wet my hair down first. I put it on dry hair, left it in for about 10 minutes and then lathered with water and rinsed. Then I washed it again on wet hair. This worked very well for me. Even after having my hair dyed for three months, when I washed it in the bathtub, all the studs from the shampoo were purple. I actually changed my mind and would rather do my hair pink instead of purple so I am washing it a third time tonight with about a third of the shampoo left in the bottle from last time. I just bought some more as well, so I’m hoping within the next week or so it will have gotten enough of the purple dye out so I can add the pink. This time I bought the conditioner with it so I am looking forward to trying that. Unfortunately, I can’t say much about how much this shampoo may or may not damage hair because the last time I did it I put in some K18 hair mask that my hair desperately needed since it was severely bleached when I dyed it purple. By the way, the K 18 mask helped soooo much in making my hair, feel healthier and stronger after bleaching and I highly recommend it. I will try and come back to this review once I have tried out the conditioner.

**Q: I have curly, dry hair and it is not recommended to wash my hair everyday. Can I use this 5 days a week without my hair becoming even dryer?**
A: my daughter swim everyday. She wets her hair before putting on cap so that hair us full of water and not able to absorb the chlorine water first. She uses this shampoo daily and we do deep conditioner at home once a week . This aside from daily conditioner. If you swim daily then I would wash the chlorine everyday not doing so will cause you hair to dry out. Hope this helps.

A: NO it's not Sulfate Free: second ingredient listed is Sodium Laureth Sulfate; fourth ingredient listed is Sodium Laureth Sulfate; eight ingredient is Sodium Thiosulfate; fourteenth ingredient is Sodium Bicarbonate

**Q: Is it hard on the scalp?**
A: I did not find it hard on my scalp. It didnt seem to dry out my hair. I swam 3 times a week, and used this when I got out of pool. I am a bleached blonde and this helped keep my hair color and not turn my blonde a tint of green like one of my friends did.

**Q: Will this shampoo remove yellow tint from natural white hair?**
A: Not likely. Try purple or  conditioners (shampoos seem to be drying out my hair. I had good results with overtone pastel blue and clairol conditioners for white or brassy blond hair.
