## Description

Tea Zone grade a tapioca - case also known as “tapioca balls” or “pearls, ” Boba originated in Taiwan and is made from the starch of the cassava root. The difference between the 2000 Series and our original 1000 Series is that while our original Boba is soft on the outside and chewy on the inside, the 2000 Series is chewy on the outside and chewy on the inside, which certain clientele prefer. Cooking time is the same as the 1000 Series- approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Review: Better flavor, better price! - I like TeaZone products I’ve tried in the past but have been using another common desertcart brand of Boba for the 5-minute ‘instant’ boil feature. Having still strived for that perfect restaurant style cup of boba, I decided to try this new variety - plus it was maybe half the cost of the other at the time. This was all the difference! Great flavor, great texture. I don’t have to overdo the brown sugar syrup because they’re already flavored. Pros: Best boba I’ve tried for home. Cons: A little bit fragile / mooshy. I guess that goes along with being fresh and made of starch. Also wet - get some desiccant packs and an airtight container. Also the 30 min cooking time; I tried 20 with my first run and they were too tough still. Just make more of them to compensate for the wait!

One thing to note though is that they are very fragile, if you press one in between your finger it will fall apart. Once cooked though the boba are delicious, soft, and sweet (once soaked in sugar syrup). As some previous reviews had stated there was some powder in the bag, and after sifting the entire bag there was only about a cup of powder. I was left with about 3 quart sized ziploc bags full of boba after sifting. I did find a few large groupings of boba pearls. While this is slightly annoying I do have a friend who wants to see what would happen if I cook them like that, so they won't go to waste. As for cooking the boba, I cooked them for about an hr and left it sitting in the pot for about the same time before I strained them. Once they had soaked in the brown sugar syrup they were sweet and soft(I like my boba on the softer side which is why I cooked them for longer than the directions).

A: I put mine in an airtight bag in the freezer.

A: It is long but it's not just 30 minutes. It's 30 minutes to cook, 35 minutes to rest, and another 10-15 minutes to soak in the sweetener.

**Q: meichalle is 30 minute too long?**
A: The instruction mentioned that boil on high temp for 3 minutes, then turn to medium heat for 15 minutes. Turn off, and cover it for 25 minutes.

They are the worst quality, they stick together no matter how careful you are, they only last 6 hours too, so if you are planning to make more for next day forget it.
