However, I wanted a gray cardigan to go over a dress and I could not find anything like what I had in mind in any of the stores near me.This sweater was exactly the color I was looking for. It ended up being soft and not scratchy at all. That was the biggest bonus.It hits at the waist, not below on me and I am short 5'3" so if you want it a little longer, I would suggest going up a size. I did want it a little shorter so it was as I had hoped it would be. The fabric quality is okay, not superior, thus my four star instead of five star rating. However, I like the lightweight fabric for my spring wardrobe. I like a little heavier sweater for winter when the temperature drops.I ordered a medium and it fit fine. I was worried that it would be the usual baggy, loose-fitting cardigan. But it is very classy styling that can be worn with casual outfits or with more dressy outfits. I wore it with a t-shirt and jeans and boots. I also wore it with a strapless lacy dress that had a red slip underneath. It looked great in both cases. The quality is excellent. I can't say enough about the quality. It is top-notch. It's soft and lightweight. The tiny buttons down the front also set it apart from ordinary sweaters. I weigh about 139 pounds.
