Bottom line is that it is more expensive, and you are getting a better product. Just to let you know, Lowes carries a similar one for $50 left. Different name, but same specs. I found that out after I had used my Dyna-Glo. **Q: How does one clean out the used charcoal and ash? Is it an easy process?** A: VERY easy. There is a pull out tray that catches all the ashes and you just pull it out and dump it. Solid built and very easy to assemble, I used the same day, seared ribeye took 3 minutes a side at 500 degrees above that was 135 degrees internal temp perfect crust on the outside. Adjustable charcoal shelf makes for perfect temp control.
