The light is fairly bright but not over powering. It's more of a wash or narrow flood. Definitely not a spot for focusing on one plant but it does a nice job lighting a wider area such as a bigger plant or wall wash. Its throw is maybe 6 or 7 ft before it isnt as focused or bright.
