Product Description Harbour Tug Boat From the Manufacturer The harbour tugboat, or, "work-horse of the coast”, tow sgigantic, sea-going vessles safely into harbor. The small, robust, manuverable boats have very powerful engines developing horsepower in the thousands.

Review: Very Nice Model of a Harbor tug - I have modeled this kit several times, and have found it to be a very Detailed and accurate kit of a Harbor tug. The Long beach a Tug in California is one of these tugs and the model matches very well to her. The only short falls in the this kit. are the crew could use to be reworked. the figures are nicely detailed but are a little out of scale. and a tug usually has more than three hands on them. The life boat is a nice detailed part but most tugs in the late 40's had a double ended boat. not a boat with a square stern. by the 60's most of these boats were removed to make deck space and only a co2 life raft was carried. In fact working with photos, you can actually model this tug as it was built as per the kit. or add and remove parts to show these tugs at different stages of their careers. on my last model of this tug I removed the after mast, life boat, davits. added a flag staff and modeled her with Moran tug colors on her. Unlike one reviewer claimed. the model is NOT deceiving, and is fact worth every nickle. It is an excellent kit of a harbor tug. and a great addition to any maritime collection. I in fact intend to build another of this kit.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it come with glue**
A: No glue or paints. The entire model is red plastic so prepare to paint a lot.

**Q: why do the product details say 13 inches long but everyone in the anwser section says it's only 9 inches**
A: The 13" is the length of the box. Revell says the model is 231mm or 9" long.

**Q: What is stage 3 meaning?**
A: I belive stage 3 is the level of experience.Stage 1 would be beginner,stage 2 would be intermediate and stage 3 would be expert.

**Q: A) what era does this represent ? And (B) is this a diesel tug ?**
A: This model is similar to the tugs that worked the Piscataqua River between Maine and New Hampshire. They were built in the early 1900’s to the 1940’s. They have been replaced by modern tugs. They were all diesel powered.

I have modeled this kit several times, and have found it to be a very Detailed and accurate kit of a Harbor tug.
