Senses ambient light as well as the light from a green LED. However, the relay coil is activated when there is darkness. This may not be a problem for some applications, as the relay has both normally-open and normally-closed positions. But I feel that since I am trying to sense light, and darkness will be present the other 99.9% of the time, the relay is pulling extra current when idle/dark and will undoubtedly wear out faster. I will be using a different solution and shelve this sensor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by S***F on July 25, 2024* I don't have discrete power on and off codes for my dvr.
