Purchasing these was MUCH cheaper than rocks would have been. It does take up to ten hours for the beads to fully hydrate, but once they do, they are super neat looking (and fun to run your hands through!). I'm including some underwater LED lights too. I've had my practice centerpiece hydrated for about 2 weeks now, and the beads have shrunk, but not much.
