The Himalayan Dog Chew Bonehead Holder is a durable, large-sized interactive treat dispenser designed to securely hold Himalayan yak cheese chews and other dog treats. Product Description Bonehead® is a fun chew accessory to hold dog chews! It's specifically engineered to work with our original Himalayan yak cheese dog chews, but can be used to hold all kinds of dog chew treats. All you need to do is simply use a screwdriver to loosen the screw on the toy, slide in the chew so that it’s centered in Bonehead, and tighten the screw back down. Then, give it to your dog to enjoy! When they have chewed as much as they can, you can remove the small piece of leftover chew that's locked in the middle of the dog toy to make a cheesy puff for your pup to enjoy! Just soak the small bit that's remaining in warm water for five minutes, pat it dry and toss it in the microwave for 45 seconds to make the puff. Let the chew cool for two minutes before treating your dog with the snack. NOTE: Do not microwave Bonehead Legal Disclaimer Always supervise your pet while giving them any treat or toys. Remove treat or toy from pet if you notice any potential hazard risk.

Review: Great for teaching a puppy to hold! - This holder is great! We have a 7 month old puppy who hasn't quite learned how to hold her chews between her paws. So we got this to help her learn. I noticed that there's a review where they gave this holder to a puppy and the pup just chew right through it! - It's a pup, they need to LEARN that the holder isn't a chew! So after a few days of keeping our eye on our puppy and teaching her that the holder ISN'T for chewing, she is now used to this and chews the yak bar only. The grip is good, it holds a medium yak bar well. Also, I noticed a reviewer put this plastic holder in to the microwave - I do not know why they did such a silly thing - it's plastic, it WILL melt! No where on the instructions does it say to put it in the microwave - it's ONLY the Yak bar that goes in to the microwave, after soaking it for 10mins. If your dog/pup is having trouble holding the chew, or theres only a little bit left of the chew and you are worried your dog/pup may try to swallow it - get this! But make sure you teach your dog/pup the holder isn't a toy for chewing! And Never, Ever put the holder in to a Microwave.
Review: Great pizzle/bully stick holder - I have waited a few years to get another one of these. This is the only bully holder I have found that works. It's great at stopping the dog swallowing the last 3inches. Sometimes it slips out if it's not screwed in tight. The plastic does get sharp when chewed so its best to keep an eye on the dog.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will it hold a jumbo bullystick?**
A: No do not purchase as it doess not hold the chewy in place so dog gets it out so your dog could easily choke....i returned mine

**Q: What is the size of the screw?**
A: I feel pretty confident the screw inside is a M18 thread (3/4" was too big, M16 was too small). And in regards to the length, there is 20mm of threading, and a 10mm point.

**Q: Is this for large chews only?**
A: Yes the blue one is pretty wide and the screw will only screw in so far before it falls out. There are really only a handful of chews that my dog chews that are thick enough to go in this one. If you want one to fit a smaller chew, the purple one is smaller and considered size medium.

**Q: What size is the opening?**
A: The large size is 1 1/2 inches x 2. WITH An Adjustable screw to tighten dog chew inside. Not sure if the small Bone Head has the same size opening.

This holder is great! We have a 7 month old puppy who hasn't quite learned how to hold her chews between her paws. So we got this to help her learn. I noticed that there's a review where they gave this holder to a puppy and the pup just chew right through it! - It's a pup, they need to LEARN that the holder isn't a chew! So after a few days of keeping our eye on our puppy and teaching her that the holder ISN'T for chewing, she is now used to this and chews the yak bar only. The grip is good, it holds a medium yak bar well. Also, I noticed a reviewer put this plastic holder in to the microwave - I do not know why they did such a silly thing - it's plastic, it WILL melt! No where on the instructions does it say to put it in the microwave - it's ONLY the Yak bar that goes in to the microwave, after soaking it for 10mins. If your dog/pup is having trouble holding the chew, or theres only a little bit left of the chew and you are worried your dog/pup may try to swallow it - get this! I have waited a few years to get another one of these. This is the only bully holder I have found that works. It's great at stopping the dog swallowing the last 3inches. Sometimes it slips out if it's not screwed in tight. The plastic does get sharp when chewed so its best to keep an eye on the dog.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Very heavy

Easy to use and only takes seconds to secure your dog's Yak chew, giving you peace of mind. However, my dog seems put off by how heavy it makes the chew. She dropped it immediately and now won't even attempt to chew the yak chew! I'm not 100% sure if it is because we are trying the new "strawberry flavour" yak chew or if the weight and bulky nature of this is the problem, but either way she hasn't touched her chew at all. I do love that it helps keeps dogs safe, because often dogs spend hours eating yak chews and you can't always tell when it is too small until it is too late. My dog had an incident with her first yak chew, she almost choked and it really put me off buying them for her despite her loving them. So finding this was a big relief! But, if changing the flavour of the chew to a regular plain one doesn't help...then maybe this is the problem. I plan to update my review depending on what the outcome is, because I can't be 100% certain if the problem is the new flavour or this tool.
