The Xantech® 28DES designer emitter shield cover in opaque black is a 1" x 2" sturdy shield that attaches over both the Xantech® Designer emitter body and the IR sensor window of a controlled component. With an optional necessary, this shield prevents unwanted external IR signals from passing through it or leaking past it. For safer usage, this shield is cost-effective for covering component IR eyes for IR. The emitter shield also prevents IR signal from the designer emitter from radiating backwards into the IR sensors of other components. This emitter shield cover is specially used for zone-controlled applications where you want the equipment controlled by the designer emitter fastened over the component IR sensors.
